The Big Challenge

Keen to set yourself a physical challenge goal? Give greater purpose to your challenge by turning it into a fundraiser for Bears Of Hope at the same time, and help support bereaved families.

We know social distancing has taken a hit to our every day lives as we knew it. Especially in terms of taking part in large, organised sporting events such a marathons, half-marathons and other distance events.

However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t continue to take on a virtual equivalent challenge. It may look a little different but the opportunity to help others is still there!

Decide on your big challenge, make it as unique as possible if you wish, and then create your own online fundraising page. Rally the support of your family and friends to help you raise funds in support parents who experience the loss of their baby.

Each year in Australia, tens of thousands of parents experience the death of their baby.

At a time when they should be celebrating a birth or be at their most joyful, the unimaginable occurs, leaving parents broken and in a new world to navigate.Your support is truly appreciated and much needed.

In October 2016, Leanne Polglase along with her friends (Biker Bears) rode from Coffs Harbour to Kurri Kurri - 400km in 4 days. They raised over $21,000 in honour of Leanne's babies and helped support over 214 bereaved families with a bear of hope and support resources.
